Based in Farnham, Surrey, the Company for Historical Combat is a martial arts school that teaches authentic combat arts from medieval and renaissance Europe. The school's sylabus is drawn from the works of George Silver, a Tudor swordsman who created a complete system of combat that teaches numerous different weapons. Dating back over four hundred years, this is the earliest complete martial system that is truly English.

With us you will learn a devastatingly effective sword fighting system starting with the classic single hand sword and at higher levels moving on to weapon combinations like sword and dagger, and then two handed weapons such as quarterstaff and polearms.

Private tuition is available by arrangement whatever your level of skill.
